Itinerary description
Day 1 – Imlil to Refuge
From Imlil to the Refuge via Sidi Chamarouch, it's a step walk following the valley, the path is well marked and easy to follow, on the way you'll see many mules carrying backpacs and supplies to the refuge.
Day 2 - Timesguida and Ras
It starts with a nice walk along the valley, then you start to go up the mountain, on the way up we needed to do some easy rock-climbing, the views from top are great.
Day 3 - Toubkal and Toubal West
It's an easy route with lots of people going up and down, we decided to visit the both summits, we had a nice view of the Toubkal from the Toubkal West.
Day 4 - Akioud and get back to Imlil
The Akioud is the more technical climb, with a difficult final 500 m. We used ropes that were installed by the Association Sportive d'Escalade & Montagne, but there were people passing without using the ropes. For me it was the most beautiful summit of all. Then we returned to the Refuge and walked back to Imlil via Aroumd, there were very beautiful cherry trees blooming.
