Short route but 95% per track. Very close to Amman so it is perfect for when you do not have too much time and you want to go by bike. It begins in a detour that leaves of the highway 40 towards Dead Sea, eye because the detour is little visible and is in descent, reason why it is necessary to be attentive. They cross several Bedouin settlements, watch out for the dogs ... You can also cross a river. The best time to do this route is undoubtedly spring, everything will be very green, the heat will be bearable and the river will take "enough" water. Greetings.

Genial!

The route is safe and dont worry too much about dogs, if you are a brave person ;)... however you should always be on alert. You should note that routes are designed to ride on a bike but no major problem in running them. The only thing is you go always provided with water, some money and a mobile. Enjoy it!

    Javier,

Thank you...I will try and be brave ;), but really dogs are no problem? Its not fun to be beaten by dogs on trails on friday mornings, you know what i mean....

I trail run often in europe, paths are no problem for me..

Maybe you can join me one day!!

    Hi Faris,

I would like to join you but now I am temporally in Spain and dont know when I will go back to Jordan. However I will contact you if I go there but i have to say I am not a good runner, i prefer to ride my bike...but if you ride with me i will run with you, deal?
About dogs, i can tell you very often they run beside me but never bite, just look into their eyes with a brave and ugly face...
    Regards and enjoy!!

Hey Jav!er do you recommend this as a second ride? My first ride was 30 km and I couldn't stand the day after from knee pain xD

This is one of my favourite trails so far :) Great scenery, close to Amman, not too hard, not too easy. Don't do it is you're very scared of sheep guarding dogs!
For me, what works is to step down and calmly walk past the dogs (don't look them into the eye). They've never attacked me so far. Apparently there's also a dog repellant spray...
Thanks so much Javier for posting all these nice routes!
