Volterra/Montecatini Volterra tra natura e panorami toscani

Il trail è facile, unica condizione per percorrerlo agevolmente e avere un minimo di allenamento. SI parte da Volterra per percorrere un breve tratto di statale 68 in dir. Siena. Poco dopo il ponte della vecchia ferrovia si svolta a destra per via di Zambra. PercorsI qualche km di asfalto inizia lo sterrato che ci permette di immergersi tra i panorami mozzafiato delle verdi colline volterrane. Si arriva poi sulla SS 439 in dir. Saline per poi riprendere la SS68 dir. Cecina. In località Ponteginori svolte a destra per il piccolo cimitero nei pressi del quale si prende la Mulattiera a sinistra che ci fa immergere nel bosco rigoglioso di arbusti. Percorsi alcuni km nel verde la strada diventa bianca sterrata per poi giungere sull'asfalto. Girare a destra per Montecatini VC. Dopo alcuni km di salita agevole si giunge al borgo . Bellissimo centro storico tipico della zona. Si prende la ripida discesa per Volterra poco prima di valle dorata si svolta sullo sterrato a sinistra. Si percorre 3 km circa di sterrato per giungere sulla SS439. Si svolta a sinistra per 200 mt circa svoltando a destra in loc. Serraspina. Si sale verso Volterra tra panorami bellissimi di colline coltivate a grano. Finito lo sterrato si prende a sinistra per Volterra sulla provinciale nr 15 .giungendo a Volterra.
