Clockwise - 34 km - difference in height 850 m.
Departure from Gorizia after Piazzale Casarossa, near the Bombi pedestrian tunnel there is a parking lot on the left.
After a few hundred meters you reach the pedestrian crossing of the Rafut, and from here the tour takes place in the Slovenian territory and the route leads first to Mount Vodice, a symbol of the Great War north-east of Gorizia in Slovenia, where the monuments were erected in honor of the fighters of 1915-18.
From the pass, you reach Piazza della Transalpina then the village of Salcano.
Beyond the village, at the traffic light, continue straight uphill towards Lokve for a couple of kilometers, and after 6 km from the start, at the height of a hairpin bend, you leave the asphalt road to enter a nice path of about 3 km. The path leads onto a dirt track where you turn right and after a few hundred meters at the crossroads you continue uphill towards Vodice that you reach after a couple of km (about 11.5 km from the start). From the war memorial you can enjoy a beautiful view of the Soča valley and the sanctuary of Montesanto (Sveta Gora).
The return takes place along a short singeltrack of medium difficulty and convenient carrareccie that lead to the village of Grgar.
From Grgar, between asphalt and dirt road, go up to Ravnica to reach the village Pri Peci, from where you descend to Kromberk along a path stony, and you return to Gorizia through the beautiful forest of Panovec.

Questa è la seconda volta che seguo un percorso di giginaty e devo dire che oramai è diventata una garanzia. Volevo solo segnalare a circa 2 km dal inizio del primo sentiero un tratto di circa 100 m in salita quasi impossibile da fare in bici a causa di rocce abbastanza esposte ma superabile a piedi. Durata del giro 2 ore.
Grazie Robinew per l'appunto di qui mi sono dimenticato di segnalare.
