Itinerary description
Country-side bicycle tour.
Leaving the church yard, you will walk down to the main street of the village. Then you will continue the walk for about 500m on the main street having the creek on the right hand. Hens, geese, turkeys walk free on these streets.
After a short cross of the village you will leave the main road starting an easy climb on the South-East side of Viscri. A wonderful view of the village will be open on the right side. You will reach the brick workshop where a family tries to produce bricks in traditional way.
The trip continues crossing forest clusters and meadows and after about 1,5-2 hours you will be on the top of the hill guarding the village of Mesendorf.
Take few minutes to admire the landscape.
An easy downhill (10-15 min) will bring you in Mesendorf where you can visit the beautiful Saxon church. Do not forget to climb on the tower. It is an excellent viewpoint over the village.
Then, an easy asphalt road will bring you to Crit, at Casa cu zorele.
If you intend to lunch or to dinner, you have to book in advance.

Done it. The hill climbing from Viscri was rather difficult in full sun, but it was worth it! The forest path was great, and then the descent to Meşendorf was again great. Definitely recommend it!
