Vi sono vari modi di percorrere la via Francigena; passeggiare, mettersi alla prova con la propria MTB, oppure godersela! Immergersi nel verde, vivere la sua storia e la sua natura. Partendo da San Gimignano ci si immerge in panorami da mozzafiato, verdi colline e dolci casali. Lungo il percorso troveremo prati; boschi; guadi di torrenti. Mano a mano che ci si avvicina a Monteriggioni, troveremo alcune testimonianze dei pellegrini che percorsero quella strada in cerca di fede recandosi a Roma. Infine Monteriggioni; il fulcro della via francigena senese. Per accedervi, ci si arrampicherà sulla spettacolare salita che ci condurrà al bastione . Da li vedremo un panorama mozzafiato, con la Via Cassia che scorre sotto il suo castello.
