Itinerary description
Best would be to google IMBA Epic Tsali Left and Right Loops. This is an Epic track by the mountain bike association so description is thorough.
Some details when doing this: it's tough. I did the left loop first, which sort of ends at the waypoint: Go Trailhead and there if you follow Trailhead you appear at BIKEPARK... Once in bikepark you go on, you find the signal for Loop Right and you do the right loop... all that gave me around 39 kms. Nowhere to hide on those 39kms.. it's all pure forest, roots, ramps, burn legs uphill, burn hands and brakes downhill, again, and again... Fantastic track, perfectly doable, but it does pause a challenge. Also, many of the 39kms are done on a tiny singletrack that has pseudo-cliff on one side, either down to the lake or down to a forest slope. Concentration is a must. And careful with traffic both ways. Even if I took it all following suggested direction, I did have many bikers coming opposite direction.
The right loop has a crazy climb sub-loop, north of track, with great view from a hight. Worth the effort, also, coming back if you take a right to extend that sub-loop you get some miles where not many bikers go.
Amazing track, forest and views. This is a must. The park is shared with horse riders so there is a day of the week schedule. I did this on Saturday. The other track (Mouse Branch and Thompson Loops I did on Sunday).
At car park you must pay 2 USD per person.
