Itinerary description
50 kilometer long circular route in the "Medway smile", South of the Medway towns of Rochester, Chatham, Gillingham and Rainham, between the M2 and M20 motorways.
Most of the area covered by the track is inside the Kent Downs Area of Outstanding Natural Beauty.
The route uses mainly country lanes, byways and bridleways, including some sections of the Pilgrims Way and North Downs Way.
Was not too muddy in March, except for one short section (see waypoint and picture) that was really terrible.
Needed to dismount at one steep hill, see waypoint for location.
All other paths were in good conditions and quite easy to cycle, all in all a very enjoyable ride.
