Itinerary description

Distance: 49 km. Timeframe: 6:30 – 11:30.
The track will explore areas on the northern territories (don’t worry, we’ll stay clear from Barad-Dûr eye). The fellowship of the ring will gather at the usual place and move toward the risky Uruk-Hai’s land. To cross the river, up north in the Moria realm, we must defeat the Balrog at the perilous Khazad-Dûm bridge. From there we’ll move eastward, aiming to Lothlörien where elves would provide us with their famous way bread. At the mysterious and suspenseful Fangorn forest, we must negotiate our passage with ageless Treebeard, one of the last Ent on Earth. Westward then, fast, through the land of Shadow (Orcs infested place and random presence of Nazgûl!), aiming back to the great river, looking for elves’ canoes to cross. Ahead, the unhealthy marshes along Purbachal road; getting through, we’ll arrive at the peaceful Rivendell, where the council of Elrond takes place.

The first half of the track was beautiful as it went through green areas. The second part (from Treebeard onward) a little less but still nice and with limited traffic). On the contrary, getting close to DHA, the way back was as usual troubled as we could not access Barhidhara (a private guard prevented us from entering the area); we had therefore enter Dhaka through Purbachal road which was not really comfortable (works ongoing along the road and traffic).
