The caves of Khndzoresk and the Swinging bridge

Biking trail description
This trail is located in Syunik province which is rich with natural monuments, old churches, fortresses, ancient bridges, mineral sources and caves. The trails starts from the swinging bridge and passes through the old settlement of caves and ends in Aygek village.

Monuments description
Goris city is one of the most beautiful cities of Armenia which is divided into two parts Old Goris (city sanctuary with caves) and New Goris constructed in the beginning of the 20th century.

Old Khndzoresk (Khndzoresk Gorge) was a city, where people were living in the caves till the 1950s. Now this old isolated city became one of the most visited and the most mystic destinations of Armenia.

The swinging bridge is the beloved monument of the adrenaline lovers. The length of the bridge is 160 m and the height 63 m and the It connects the Old and New Kndzoresk. On the slopes of the gorge is buried one of the heroes of Armenia the military leader Mkhitar.

Also, it is recommended to visit other interesting destinations of Syunik: Zorats Karer (Stone Henge), Vorotnavank monastery, Hot waters of Vorotan, Shake Waterfall, Wings of Tatev ropeway, Devil Bridge, Monastery of Tatev.

Flora
The most mountainous province of Armenia is Syunik. The most well-known sanctuary of the region - Shikahogh is also situated in this province. The former is rich with unique endemic species and animals.

Fauna
The habitats in Syunik meet in the forests bears, rabbits, wild boars, panthers very often. In the mountainous parts are flying white eagles (included in the Red Book of Armenia) and griffons.
