Itinerary description
Cycling trip from Tel Aviv to the Red Sea through the desert and near the Jordan border. First day had a lot of muddy mountain biking, second day had dry desert riding (very steep) and third day was the final push on road. Mountain biking, road biking, downhill riding, highway biking, night biking, trekking while pushing the bike... This trail has it all.
Day 1: Tel Aviv - Be'er Sheva. Many mudpools and wet mountain biking. Mostly uphill. 110 km. Very muddy.
Day 2: Be'er Sheva - Desert. Crossing the desert on Shvil Israel, red and black trails. Very dry, very windy, very sandy. Lots of uphill and very steep downhill riding. Hardest day, 100 km (phone died so Strava didn't record.
Day 3: Desert - Eilat. Finish crossing the desert onto road 90 to Eilat for a total of 140 km. Road biking and mostly downhill. Very sunny.
350 km in total with a 3,500 meter elevation gain. Very crazy adventure but the time of my life as well.
