And here we are right across the Mount Aspiring National Park that I mentioned on the Haast route. Some will know that in this park is one of the most emblematic hiking trails that is the Kepler Track. They still do not let in bikes so what I could do is leave the town to follow the Golf Road (photo 5) that goes along the south side of the river while the Kepler route starts on the north side. At the end of the Golf Road (which is half asphalt half gravel track, you can make a loop that is the most beautiful part (photos 1,2,3). Although the total of the route is technically easy in this loop the track is a narrow path with stones and a piece of ascent that is not demanding but that adds a degree of technical difficulty (nothing: from 0 to 1), they are the signs that can be seen in the track.
