Itinerary description
This route is a 1,900ft climb up Grand Etang - not for the faint hearted with the last mile at an average of at least 13% - in parts to 20%. Can be very hot for first 1,000ft with no breeze - and lot of sun in afternoon. Very rewarding to reach top, beautiful surroundings and much cooler. Descend other side one mile to Grand Etang Lake and Visitors Center and a cool drink.
