Itinerary description
Spring 2009
This is more of a sightseeing trail than a mountain bike ride, but why would you want to walk when you can ride! And there is some fun riding but nothing that I would describe as really mountain biking, mostly just off-road trail riding.
You can park in the Hell Gate campground or right at the trailhead which is well signed, the trail starts out by crossing a narrow suspension bridge then follows an old narrow road for several miles. When the road fords a creek there is a log bridge with guard rails for hikers and bikers. The trees are big so there's lots of shade and you will pass several cabins along the way.

Looks like a great trail! I saw a couple signs in your photo that said ‘Swim Meadow’, did you bust that spot? Is there a place to swim? Considering this for upcoming 2020 summer, with my older kids.
