Km 38 - difference in height 900m.
The route had the mountain Trstelj as its destination, but I had to give up to reach the top due to the strong wind. However, I managed to make a nice ride with a substantial difference in height and mileage.
The itinerary starts from the Piazzale di Casarossa in Gorizia, but takes place entirely in the Slovenian territory. In the first and last part it crosses funny paths in the woods on the outskirts of San Pietro, and from Rence it arrives just below the Trstelj mountain, going through an anticlockwise ring in the middle of woods and vineyards to the village of Potok and after 4 km of ascent on asphalt road and a small stretch of dirt road reaches the highest point of the itinerary (500 meters sl.).
From here descending along singeltrack and trails through the woods you return again to Rence and finally to Gorizia.
