Ala ud-Daula Simnani (Persian: علاءالدوله سمنانی, full name Shaikh Abu-Al-Makarim Rukn-ud-Din Ala ud-Daula Ahmed Bin Muhammad Bin Ahmed Bayabanki Simnani) (1261-1336) was a Persian Sūfī of the Kubrāwī order,] a revolutionary writer and a teacher of Sufism. He was born in Semnan, Iran. He studied the tradition of Sufism from Abud al- Rahman Asfariyeni.[3] He also wrote many books on Sufism and Islam. The illustrious chisti Sufi saint Ashraf Jahangir Semnani in his formative years, before moving to India for taking oath at the hands of Alaul Haq Pandavi and finally settling at Ashrafpur Kichhauchha, took mystical education from Ala ud-Daula Simnani. Another prominent Kubrawi saint Mir Sayyid Ali Hamadani also spent his initial years under the tutelage of Ala ud-Daula Simnani
