On this little route we first go up to warm up through the Castlewellan Forest to the friendly summit of Slieve Na Slat, a forest in which there are some bike trails.
It will be followed by Slieve Croob, a dominant point in this area from which to appreciate the Mournes and Belfast with its hills in the distance. The climb is long, and with some curious ramps, especially in the last section.
