Itinerary description
Shawkah is the name of a settlement in Ras al-Khaimah. This track goes over a great track posted by Chance Wilson (thank you Chance!). It's short but just great fun. It's technical. Very rocky. Not dangerous technical but technical enough to test how good is the bike you bought! Parking lot at starting point very handy to start and finish. We did this in January 2015 and it was already hot! don't even want to think how boiling this gets from April to October.... careful there.
I give it a moderate because just some 10kms, and no real elevation gain, some small ramps up and down. If you are starting with your mountain bike I still recommend it but just be ready to take it easy and perhaps walk the bike at times. IF you never really took your bike off asphalt before..then this might not be the fit.
