Itinerary description
Sinis peninsula is a gorgeous and pristine wetland with a long and great history. Enjoy this beautiful corner of Sardinia by easy mountain biking among birds, incredible white beaches and marvelous archaeological sites. The route is a bit long but never challenging, it starts from the center of Cabras and runs through the reeds and wetlands around the lagoon inhabited by a multitude of bird species. Then you proceed to Capo Mannu, in the very north of the peninsula, on a trail running along the old watchtowers, then it continue along the coast characterized by high cliffs of Tingiosu and from the white quartz beaches of Mari Ermi and Is Aruttas, until you reach the village of San Giovanni di Sinis and the ancient settlement of Tharros in the very south. Finally you return to Cabras through the rural village of San Salvatore and the orchards along the southern shore of the lagoon.
