Itinerary description
Route around some of the best trails in Wilder Ranch. The starting point is from the Cycleworks shop which is great if you need to rent a good quality reasonably-priced bike. After a pleasant urban stretch equipped with bike lanes, the route goes along the coast and reaches Wilder Ranch. The climb starts there, not too hard really, though the terrain can be a bit muddy particularly in the single-tracks. The scenery is really beautiful. After reaching the upper exit of Wilder Ranch the route doubles back for a nice descent, not too technical but not for beginners, and then returns to Santa Cruz following a gorgeous trail by the sea -- where you can see surfers, great cliffs and a whale if you get lucky
