Route #4 extends for 52 miles exclusively over the levees surrounding WCA 3B or Water Conservation Area #3B. This marshy land occupies an area of 128 square miles where the most abundant thing is water. Inside, there are innumerable automated stations that carry out meteorological measurements and various studies on the quality and levels of contamination of the liquid. On the other hand, most of the route will be through Miami Dade County while a small portion will be over Broward County. It is also an area tremendously far from the city in the middle of the Everglades where, except for some fishermen along the slopes and at Mack's Fish Camp, we will be totally isolated from the world for a long time. We will also be surrounded by all the wild animals that inhabit Florida without exception. The vegetation is abundant and is mainly made up of sawgrass, although in some parts there will be hammocks, which are islands of trees, pine forests and other forests typical of this region. Our path will always be on dirt and stones, and there may be puddles in summer.

Only 4 stars because there has been a change in the route.. On the northern East -west segment, one must use the the gravel road next to and south of the canal ( It parallels the Northern Road) because the there is an impassable section west of the Macks Fish Camp. On google earth , It appears that the southern road is impassable due to a breach in the Levee west of the Fish camp , but it has recently been repaired and the road is in great shape . There is negligible difference in mileage ~0.2 mile. Nice gravel ride starting just past the miccosukee Casino . 01/25/19
I didn't know that. I haven't been around there since 2010.
