Itinerary description
The route started on the border of the region, between Veneto and Trentino where we could park the car in a corner which can fit 2-3 cars.
Bikes unloaded and go! Scenic view of the lake with a quiet atmosphere, that early in the morning was bringing relax and good vibs to start the day in a proper way.
Just after 10 km in Riva we started our way up, we had a quick stop next to the nice tiny “Lago di Tenno” surrounded by mountains with the well known island in the middle, which become reachable in summer from the land when the water level is getting lower.
Then we kept going in the quiet valley until Fiavé where we turned left to extend our route passing through some other villages.
After Comano Terme we quicly went to have a look on the bridge over the high canyon that can take to Lago di Molveno, after this stop we got back to our path, taking the bike path made on the old road following the shape of the canyon, it’s very nice, huge rocky mountains views and the river down in the canyon, this pike path is divided by the road that now is going into the mountains through tunnels, in a bend it finishes and it joins again the road with cars for 1,5 km.
Right after the bridge, before the town Sarche, the marked bike path turns right, going all the way down south passing through Dro, Arco and then reaching Torbole where we rejoin the initial part to get to the car.
The last part and especially in Sarche area was the most interesting of the whole trip. 😉
