Itinerary description
Very nice trail around Riva del Garda. A little harder than the classic Ponale trail, but still on the easy range of the spectrum provided that you have some basic fitness.
The climb, 1000 meters, is basically entirely on paved roads except for the last brief section that takes to Rifugio Grassi - which by the way serves amazing food (incredibly big rations of pasta!)
The first part of descent is on a fire road, hence always wide and easy. Then, when you take the Pinza trail, it gets narrower and a little steeper, with also some steps in some sections, but always manageable and enjoyable given the nice views it offers.
Recommended for bikers, also beginners - but maybe not families.

Ciao, dalle foto vedo solo strade asfaltate, il percorso prevede sterrati?
Ciao, la salita e' praticamente tutto asfalto. La discesa invece va su sterrato, prima una strada jeepabile e poi sul sentiero della Pinza diventa in single track.
Tutta la salita è di una noia mortale, asfalto e poco panoramica... Par prendere la discesa del percorso 7
734 bisogna passare a fianco del rifugio, la discesa è veramente impegnativa nella prima parte perché ripida è sconnessa poi diventa veloce bellissima e lunghissima
Massimo, la discesa impegnativa che dici è su questa traccia o è un' alternativa?

prima parte della salita e l'ultima le pendenze superano il 10 %, per il resto è sempre pedalabile, la discesa confermo che il primo tratto sulla forestale è completamente eroso dalla pioggie e a tratti io sono sceso a piedi perché ci sono troppi sassi smossi... una volta arrivati sulla strada della pinza diventa ripido ma facile, bellissima l'ultima parte che scende in picchiata verso Riva con un susseguirsi di tornanti stretti!!!
