First of all, I did this route in late August (28ht-30th August), but it shows December. There's no way to do it in December.
Route with incredible views to glaciers and almost arctic landscapes in its highest part. In the town of Finse there is a shelter where you can eat and drink. Alternatively, there's no shortage of water along the route, you can drink water from the streams that fall into the lakes. Although it could be done in one day, I'd recommend to divide it into two days to better appreciate the beauty of the scenery. At the end, you reach the fjord in the city of Flam. There is a company that rents bicycles in Haugastol (departure point) and in Flam (arrival), and the price is around € 30 per day (in the year 2012). The first night we camped by a lake. We spent the second night at a campsite in Flam.

    Hi Joseshka!

Im planning to cross Norway through gravel roads and trails from Tromso to Oslo..Is this Rallarvegen you did connected in the north and the south? Is part of a bigger network?

Hi! It's not part of a bigger network as far as I know. There's asphal to the north and south after this trail road. But you don't want to miss it!
