Itinerary description
An easy and relaxed full day tour, maybe more cycling than mountain biking, but it has it all: cycling, some biking, culture, plus a swim in a natural hot spring! From Përmet you can go either over asphalt or natural track (other side of the river) to Petran, from where you take a new asphalt road towards Bënjë/thermal springs. After some kilometers, in a sharp corner, a turn-off to the left takes you over a small bridge and onto a 4x4 track. Rocky and some sections very steep, this not very long road takes you the village of Bënjë, nestled onto the mountain, full of old houses and with a superb stone church. After this cultural part – very much worth it – we go for the hot-springs: Back down to the asphalt road, a bit further on it, and soon you`ll find yourself fully relaxed in the natural warm water. Any time of the year! After a great day out you take the same way back to Përmet. You find water/minimarket and even some good restaurants along the tour, so no must to carry much with you.
