With its almost thousand meters of altitude, the picturesque village of Mala Učka is the highest rural settlement in Croatia. But it is also one of the least populated: only in the summer, in fact, do some shepherd families stay there permanently who exploit the panoramic meadows at the foot of Mount Vojak for grazing sheep and producing cheese and ricotta.
