Itinerary description
This ride will take you from the West Coast ride up into the rain forest above Annandale Waterfall - stunning area, very green and lush. The ride could equally be started from the waterfall area itself - cool off in the waterfall after the ride.Essentially there are two loops - can do either or both. One route brings you up and over into Willis, the next village over and the other heads higher past the waterworks and into the forest reserve itself.
The route mainly follows old plantation trail which can be challenging to ride on when wet. On the forest trail you will come across a couple of wood footbridges - these are very slippery and safer to dismount and walk across. After the second bridge the trail is narrow and overgrown for a while with bamboo and fallen trees across the trail but after 3/4 mile you emerge into pasture and a steep descent to Annandale.
