Itinerary description
A superb climb up through the high pastures of Zante. We did this in springtime (May) when the wild flower display was amazing and the temperature was comfortable. After the road climb, we had lunch and drinks at the snack bar in Loucha, which was really good. Loucha is the smallest village in Zante!! The climb to the highest point (Vrachionas) is on a gravel trail and I would not attempt this ride on trekking bikes. Hard-tail mountain bikes advisable. The descent has large sections of very rough trail but nonetheless enjoyable. The only reason I've graded this as difficult is the fairly tough climb and tricky off-road descent
