Biking trail description
This trail is located in Syunik province. It starts from Ishkhanasar village and ends near Ukhtasar lakes. On the entire way the panoramic view is miraculous.
Monuments description
Ukhtasar is a volcanic formation in Syunik province and has 3581 m altitude from the sea level. The Mount Ukhtasar has many petroglyphs that are evidence of old civilizations living in that region.
Flora
The most mountainous province of Armenia is Syunik. The most well-known sanctuary of the region - Shikahogh is also situated in this province. The former is rich with unique endemic species and animals.
Fauna
The habitats in Syunik meet in the forests bears, rabbits, wild boars, panthers very often. In the mountainous parts are flying white eagles (included in the Red Book of Armenia) and griffons.
Safety and Security
All mobile connections functions with some interruptions. In case of emergency, call 911 or 112. Be aware of leashed-off dogs in the villages.
