Per coloro che vogliono una passeggiata tranquilla, ma con una certa emozione, questo tour è l'ideale. si parte da Montelopio e dopo pochi metri si svolta a destra in una strada sterrata. Bella e panoramica liscia fino alla provinciale di Peccioli Volterra che si raggiunge dopo pochi chilometri. girare a sinistra per Peccioli fino al bivio per Cedri, dove si svolta a destra. Una lunga salita di media difficoltà e si arriva al borgo di Cedri. Diritti prendere la strada sterrata fino al bivio, per poi girare a sinistra. Una breve salita per arrivare nei pressi di una fattoria. Appena terminata la recinzione a sinistra, imboccare il sentiero, sempre a sinistra a sinistra. Comincia qualche km di emozioni tra fango nel pieno del boscAttenzione la discesa è un tantino diffocoltosa, per esperti, se non si è pratici andare adagio finchè tanto si è in discesa... Dopo un paio di chilometri inizia nuovamente la strada sterrata, dritto e dopo pochi km si tornerà alla provinciale Peccioli Volterra. Girare a destra, e dopo pochi chilometri di asfalto, prendere il sentiero a sinistra. dopo un centinaio di metri, si guada un piccolo ruscello, e poi trovare una sbarra che chiude la strada. oltrepassatela senza problemi, dopo pochissimo troverete l'oasi faunistica di Montelopio. Il sentiero si inerpicherà di fianco alla piccola palude, rifugio di specie pregiate migratrici acquatiche. Segue a pochi km dal verde e bosco e arrivati al luogo di controllo della guardie venatorie, lo si oltrepassa per risalire per qualche km di strada sterrata. L'ultima salitina di asfalto per una cinquantina di metri e si è di nuovo in Montelopio ... il cerchio si chiude.

Un percorso piacevole da affrontare, a brevi tratti impegnativo, la parte nel bosco attenti ai pantani che io ci sono affondato bene, per il resto tutto ok

Ho terminato adesso il percorso, con panorami molto belli nella zona del lago del Gattero. Bella anche la zona di Cedri e la risalita a Montelopio, "funestata" però da miliardi di tafani che a tratti impedivano quasi di pedalare!
