Itinerary description
This is the vaunted fourth way up the Ventoux. It is hard to find the start of the route; yet when you reach the gravel, the route up is clear. The surface is very rough in places over uncompacted gravel.
When you reach the road; you are fairly near the top. The day I rode; the clouds suddenly arrived across the plains of Provence. In less than ten mintues; it went from: 30 degrees and a sunny morning to zero visibilty and ice cold gale force winds.
Enjoy this route away from the crowds, angry road cyclists and their friends. Yet please wait for a guaranteed sunny day if you have the time. Cheers
