Extreme Adventure "THE IMAGINARY LINE": 18 days of pure exploration in one of the most remote areas of Alaska and the planet.
The wild coast overlooking the Gulf of Alaska of the Pacific Ocean.
With the bike and a small dinghy Maurice has traveled about 500 km of coastline made of beaches of all kinds, sand, pebbles, algae, mud, swamps, forests, rivers, bays.
Unfortunately, the bad weather has accompanied him for 15 days and has often unleashed very furious that has made the progression difficult and very slow especially in the final part.
In fact it had been estimated to take about 15 days with some days off.
It was not so and the measured food even if rationed in recent days has completely missed the last 2 days.
everything was wet in the last week, clothes, sleeping bag, the water could not be filtered and it was possible to drink only muddy rainwater a few hours of sleep and so hungry.
The final part to reach the track leading to the village of Córdoba was submerged in mud, debris and the maze of rivers created in this very large muddy area was impetuous, the fog was the background and with its mantle enveloped everything giving it a ghostly appearance , Maurizio was forced to renounce the full goal, after several attempts to cross this area.
Attempts at risk that put too much risk to his safety, failed with falls in the water and large slips between the trunks piled up.
The decision was very painful but certainly the most rational and necessary was to call an American Coast Guard helicopter.
Less than 5 km away.
However a great and unique adventure that shows once again that dreams with determination and experience can be realized.

HOLA AMIGO, TU RUTA ES MUY BUENA, PASA POR LUGARES DE ALTAS MONTAÑAS, ES MUY INTERESANTE. SOLO QUE CUANDO LA TRATE DE SEGUIR CON GOOGLE EARTH EN MUCHAS OCASIONES LA LINEA SE PERDIA, CREO QUE POR ESTAR MARCADA CASI AL RAS DEL SUELO, SI LA SEÑALARAS MAS ALTA PODRIA SEGUIRSE SIN NINGUNA DIFICULTAD. POR OTRO LADO CREO QUE LA RUTA ES BUENISIMA. GRACIAS POR COMPARTIRLA.
Ciao Anderson, ciao Sergio: the adventure is all on the coast, there are not path or road it is very difficult and dangerous. Ciao
