Itinerary description
*** I couldn't find a way to cross beyond the Popeye-Mellieha road. I will try again soon ***
30% black road, 40% white road, 30% tracks&broken roads
- The offroad section of Ras Il Wahx is better to do in the opposite direction (from [35.949824, 14.348264] towards In-Mahalija) because with so much rock, climbing becomes very difficult.
- Going down to Popeye Village by straight road is a waste of potential energy (but there are no tracks): better for climbing.
- As I said at the beginning, I didn't find the way to get to the Waste Water Treatment Plant (https://goo.gl/maps/SBG5v2rdxKzHkaUp8) by trails. On the route you can see a couple of attempts: in the second I found some dogs that came out to greet me in an unfriendly way. I'll try again, this time entering the Melieha Holiday Center (after all, I can also take an afternoon on Holiday.
- It was annoying for me to go up Melieha and then I couldn't cross the highway to take a path, so I had to go down a bit towards Xemija.
- The white road from [35.953977, 14.375277] to the west is fine. I could have shortened by turning left at [35.949356, 14.359928] to get to an area that I thought had trails with lots of possibilities for fun MTB: Waypoint [35.942598, 14.361692]. I'll come back to see how it is.
The rest was to return to Lidl as easy as possible, because my legs asking for mercy.
