Itinerary description

A tratti immersi nella boscaglia, a tratti tra sabbia e sassi trasportati in un paesaggio lunare, il fiume ci svela i suoi segreti e ci accompagna placidamente per tutta la lunghezza della nostra escursione. Una pedalata lungo le sponde del Brenta che percorriamo su strade sterrate, argini e, per i soli amanti delle ruote tassellate, tratti anche tecnici che non mancheranno di mettere alla prova le forcelle. Da Nove, lungo la Brenta, si raggiunge Bassano del Grappa con l'immancabile tappa ad una delle tante grapperie vicine al Ponte. Si prosegue poi lungo la sponda del Brenta fino a giungere a Valstagna, ridente paese incastonato tra il fiume e la montagna; non può mancare una visita alle Grotte di Oliero o, per chi vuole provare anche l'ebbrezza del fiume, una discesa in rafting. Il percorso si snoda poi verso Marostica, per rilassarsi nella Piazza degli Scacchi e ritornare verso Nove accompagnati nell'ultimo tratto dal suono soave del fiume Brenta.

TRATTA BASSANO-CAMPOLONGO: il tracciato lungo la destra orografica del fiume Brenta, prevede due possibilità: un sentiero abbastanza sconnesso per buoni tratti, percorribile però solo in mountain bike; l'alternativa è percorrere la cosiddetta "Campesana vecchia" (SP73) la strada che collega Bassano con Campolongo. Assolutamente sconsigliata la sinistra orografica del Brenta, sentiero a tratti molto sconnesso ma soprattutto soggetto ad essere sommerso in caso di piena del fiume Brenta.

TEMPIO OSSARIO (IWW)

Questa chiesa risale al 1908 e doveva essere il nuovo duomo di Bassano del Grappa. Venne modificato dopo la Prima Guerra Mondiale per far posto ai resti dei soldati rimasti uccisi in battaglia: i soldati sepolti all’interno della chiesa sono circa 6000. This church dates back to 1908, and it was to be Bassano del Grappa’s new cathedral. It was modified after WWI to accommodate the remains of the soldiers killed in battle: there are about 6,000 men buried within the church. Das Gebetshaus, die aus dem Jahre 1908 stammte und als neuer Dom gedacht war, wurde nach dem Ersten Weltkrieg geändert, um die sterblichen Überreste der Gefallenen zu beherbergen: im Inneren wurden etwa 6000 Soldaten begraben.

Le Grotte di Oliero si trovano nella Valle del Brenta, sono un macroscopico e straordinario fenomeno carsico presente nella Valbrenta legato alle Sorgenti dell’Oliero, il secondo fiume più corto d’Europa. Le grotte attualmente aperte al pubblico sono 4. Qui si possono ammirare spettacolari concrezionamenti e stalattiti alabastrine che assumono bizzarre forme e colori. The caves of Oliero are situated in the valley of Brenta and are a macroscopic and extraordinary karst phenomenon in Valbrenta, connected to the source of the Oliero, the second shortest river in Europe. There are four caves that are currently open to the public. Here you can admire spectacular calcite formations and alabastrine stalactites that take on bizarre forms and colours.
