Itinerary description
New tracks into the Central Valley area of Litchfield National Park, Northern Territory Australia. Approx 45 km round trip. Opening next year. Good surface tracks with not too much sand. No phone reception.
Leave from Lost City turn off or Tabletop Swamp.
The Lost City track section is a bit sandy.
Only for experienced & fully equipped riders, leave early or camp overnight Camp 2, Camp 3 or Havachat Pool.
NOTE The section between Xing 1 & Xing 4 is not possible for vehicles - only hiking or biking . The GPS route is the easiest way to travel this section & avoids thick undergrowth & swampy areas however the seasonal floods can affect this route & leave debris along the way. So only use this shortcut if you have a GPS with the route downloaded. It is not suitable for anyone other than fully equipped & experienced bush walkers.
