Epic.
Hot in February !! Technical, and around 900 meters gain in just 17kms. Ramps at 10% 15% 20% and yes 25% ... Some parts to recover then again ramp it up. Walk-the-bikes on the 20%+ ramps. Other than that not really a technical hard challenge. Loose sand and pebbles versus typical trails with rocks and roots so... yep, went down in a curve I took closing the line too much and the tires would not grip... el rasponazo.
Used hotel Isolina, nice and ok but cuca at night thingy... Rented car with Adobe Car Rental in Liberia airport good service.
Rented bike at Las Catalinas "Pura Vida Ride". Perfect service and perfect Trek Fuel Ex... magnificent bike. Great service, lots of equipment. Not exactly cheap but you get your value and the bike was in niquel perfect condition. the back and forth to rent was good. They were good at pro actively giving me advice about the Las Catalinas competition and about tire pressure etc. Nice friendly attention.
