Return to Inle Lake to get to know the surroundings and leaving the busiest areas of tourists. We leave from our hotel heading west. As we left the town we found a paved road where we could observe the more rural areas, such as villages, schools and fields. Throughout the trip the locals greet with a big smile, "Mingalaba!"
We go down the whole road to a pier called Khaung Daing. From there we took a boat to cross the inle lake. The boatman asked us for 10,000 kyats, we didn't find it abusive so we accepted. The boatman left us at the pier on the other side of the river called Maing Thauk. From there we return to the northbound route.
He pressed hunger, so we looked for a place to eat. The site is called Bamboo delight cooking. A spectacular place in the middle of very quiet nature where everything they have comes from the orchards that they have around. The best food to date in our entire stay in Myanmar.
After lunch we return to the town of Nyaungshwe. A little further on are the Red mountain wineries where they offer a wine tasting for 5000 Kyats. The truth is that wines are not a big deal but it is worth stopping to relax and enjoy the views.
Then we continue the route until we reach Nyaungshwe where only a couple of mojitos were waiting for us enjoying the sunset.
