I did this "trail" yesterday. (Nov. 6th , 2017 ) It's actually a road that goes to the communications towers at La Bufa. People rent quads or get a ride in the backs of pick up trucks with benches. It was Sunday. I don't think the trucks would go most days, just holidays.
I pushed my bike up the 1,155 M to La Bufa for 2 1/2 hrs. plus 15 minutes total in rest stops hours , rested and rode down in 38 mins. The ride down was way more fun than the climb, Surprise ! lol.
I rode VERY little on the ascent. I am more of a hiker than biker. Someone in shape for endless low gear pedaling could probably ride most of it. i.e. it's not so steep that your front wheel lifts.
For me at 62 it was a real challenge...today, I rest. Good luck in your travels. Buen viaje.
