Kreta - Chappel of Kapsa / Mirabella Bay

Kreta - Traumtrail
Im Nordosten der Insel Kreta verbirgt sich dieser kleine Traumtrail. Es ist ein Wanderpfad, der sich von der Nationalstraße hoch zu der kleinen Kapelle Kapsa (Foto3) schlängelt. Es geht in vielen Serpentinen hoch (Foto1), die man kaum fahren kann. Daher sollte man sich darauf einstellen, ca. 350HM hochzuschieben, zum Teil auch das Bike zu tragen (Foto2). Dafür braucht man ca. 1,5 Stunden.
Aber die Plackerei lohnt sich! Belohnt wird man oben mit einem herrrlichen Blick über die Buch von Mirabella (Foto4), der traumhaften Stille an der kleinen Kapelle und nicht zuletzt von dem DH-Trail, der echt fetzt (Foto5+6)!

Hoch und runter sind es ca. 7km und 450HM. Danach kann man noch eine schöne Runde runter nach Mochlos (uhriges, kleines Fischerdörfchen) und wieder hoch nach Lastros unternehmen, macht dann ca. 22km und 850HM.

Crete – Epic Trial
In the north eastern part of Crete there is this smal epic trail. It is a hiking trail (photo1) that leads up to the small chapel Kapsa (photo3). Due to the steep terrain and the switchbacks, riding up is very difficult. So please be prepared and able to push up approx. 350HM of the trail, sometimes even carrying the bike (photo2) is recommended. You will need 1,5h to the peak. It’s like a pain in the a…, but it’s worth it! You will be rewarded with a beautiful view over the Mirabella Bay (photo4), you will enjoy the magic silence at this peaceful place and finally, of course, you will scream while you will go down this epic trail (phozo5+6).

Note: Please be aware that this is a hiking path and respect other persons while biking.
Up and back is round about 7km and 450HM.You can add a nice route down to the coast at Mochlos (small, traditional fishermen’s village) and return upwards to Lastros, what will be a total of 22km and 850HM.

Creta – Senda magnifica
En el norte-este deCreta he encontrado esta pequena senda magnifica. Es una senda (foot1) que sube hasta la pequena capilla Kapsa (foto3). A causa del teranio acantilado hay muchas zetas y subiendo en bici es dificil. Asi preparaté a empujar tu bici casi 350HM y de vez en cuando tambien llevar tu bici (foto2). Se sube en approximadamente 1,5 horas. Es una lastima, pero vale la pena.
Desde ahi arriba tendrás una vista hermosa sobre la Mirabella Bay (foto4), escucharás al silencio de un sitio pacifico y finalmente te tomerás esta trailada technical (foto5+6).

Attention: Es una senda de senderismo, por eso por favor, da attention a senderistas!
Esta routa tiene 7km y 450HM. Si quieres prolonger-la, coje la routa hasta la coasta de Mochlos (pequeno pueblo traditional) y sube luego por Lastros, en total 22km y 850HM.
