Departure from Gorizia Piazzale Casarossa. The tour develops almost entirely in Slovenian territory on traces of the First World War. You reach Plave along the beautiful dirt track that runs along the Isonzo next to the railway. You climb up the Korada da Plave mountain on a mule track in the middle of the 8 km long wood until you reach the homonymous hut. From the hut you go down through the woods on technical paths to meet the asphalt. You then climb on a paved road with little traffic to Mount Sabotino, an important stronghold of the first war. For those wishing to make a small detour, at the shelter Sabotino you can visit an open-air museum and the trench line. Also, leave the bicycles at the shelter you can reach the top of the mountain in a few minutes and admire a 360 ° panorama over the valley of the Isonzo and the surrounding plain. Returning to the point where the detour took place, we return to Italy where we will find the last technical single track and sometimes exposed that will take us to the village of Salcano from where we will retrace the road traveled in the reverse direction after a difference in altitude of m1100 and Km 49.
