Easy bike trip from Kebliny forest back home in Lodz.
NOTE: GPS log in terms of altitude is not accurate. Overall elevation gain was +220m and loss -100m.
0,0k at 140m - Start from the forest just outside Kebliny village. After reaching local road 708, trail turns right and follows the road for next 500m to turn left in direction to Wola Branicka with smaller but still asphalt road. In the village trail turns right to Biala, soon after passes next to fish lakes and wooden church at the entrance of Biala.
3,4k at 145m - Wooden church in Biala (Saint Peter and Paul), one of few wooden churches that prevailed 2nd World War in the region (see photos). Trail turns left at the church in direction to Cyprianow and Jezewo and later Szczawin, to cross above A2 highway.
8,2k at 160m - A2 highway. After crossing the bridge over the highway, trail continues through local villages and at 10th k crosses rails of newly renovated system of Lodzka Kolejka Aglomeracyjna (Lodz local rail system). Passing through Jozefow, Janow and Skotniki, trail crosses local road 71 between Zgierz and Strykow to enter Lagiewniki forest from the north.
14,1k at 220m - Lagiewniki forest entrance. Route follows bike paths through the forest with steeper ascents and descents. As I did the trip with my brother, we had to stop from time to time here :-P
17,3k at 220m - Chapels of Saint Roch. Great place to a quick stop and refilling our water supplies in spring inside the chapels. We continued west crossing Wycieczkowa str and passing by forest lakes to turns left and follow bike path until Arturowek.
20,0k at 235m - Arturowek. Lake complex in the south part of Lagiewniki. Following Skrzydlata street we continued south along rail tracks and museum of Lodz's gettho (historical train station) to reach Strykowska str.
23,1k at 230m - Strykowska str. Still followng rail tracks we got to Brzezinska str and through the parking of shopping mall M1 and local roads we got home! My brother was more than happy :-P
I mark it MTB route as it does pass through some forest areas. No technical difficulty, distance is rather short and no big elevation difference, so I mark it easy.
