Itinerary description
Starting from a point named "2 seas observatory" in direction of Kalamafka, there is a dirt road leading to higher altitudes.
The ascent from there is manageable (not too steep) and leads to an ever ascending path until some ruins where the shade of trees provide some relief, before a small descent into a high altitude valley. Knowing the direction I wanted to follow leading me to Males, I turned left too quickly and had to go back because the path I was following, although in the correct direction, was leading me to nowhere (unless carrying the bike to reach the target road above).
So after this u-turn, I went back and took the correct junction further away than the previous one I used first. From then on it is again a long ascent along valleys and even gorges, until the col which opens the way to underlying Males.
All in all a wonderful journey, that ended up with a swim in Myrtos, somehow exhausted.
