First experience in the Slovenian mountains, specifically in the headquarters of one of the tests of the Enduro World Series of 2018 ... and seeing what I have seen today, I understand perfectly why the EWS chose this site to celebrate one of its tests, I stay at the Ecohotel Koros (https://www.bikenomad.com/), in the heart of the park and unbeatable place to enjoy the trails of the park. I have not brought my bike, so I have rented one here, a Specialized Camber double suspension and 2x9v ... not the best to harden, but not bad ... how I miss the telescopic seat post, my mother ! Another thing that I miss are the topographic maps. I brought them loaded in the GPS at home, but when I started it here, my cell phone turned off all the time. After more than an hour looking for solutions, I finally get to restore the GPS with factory values ... and without maps, obviously. Well, at least that's how I keep the route and see the roads that I've already gone down.

Because that's another, I've completely improvised the route, following the signs, and trying not to leave any path in the inkwell ... and I'm afraid that someone has stayed ... to see if between tomorrow and past all .. .

The trails are classified as blue, red and black, depending on the difficulty. The blues are easy, you can go fast, while the reds and the blacks have a lot of roots and, above all the black ones, some technical steps of putting the tie socks. I give it to everyone, but I admit that in some points of the blacks I have been in a hurry. All the trails run mostly through forests, which is appreciated on a sunny day and 30 degrees like today. For the ski lifts, there is a track that climbs with a very nice slope to the highest point of the park. From the lower part of the hotel, there is also a climbing path that is very cool.

I got up without hurry, knowing that I have all day for myself with nothing else to do but ride a bike. For that reason, I have been very calm, taking out all kinds of photos and videos. In the morning I made 3 climbs almost up, to make the whole downs. The main fault of the hotel (of the park, in general), is that it does not give meals, so you have to look for life to eat. And that, lost in the middle of nowhere at 700m height, is a problem unless you come in a motorhome and have the purchase made. For that reason, to eat I had to leave the park and go down to the village until I found the first restaurant where I was fed (1h stop).

Calm meal to regain strength, and after eating, I'm too lazy to return by road to the park to do the same climbs again. It's one of the things that I do not like very much about these sites, that you're always going up the same site, it seems very monotonous, so I decided to pull wikiloc and find a route that goes up another site giving a little detour. It's my first time shooting in Slovenia and I want to see more landscapes. The route I choose has no description (oh, surprise!), But I'm afraid it will be road and track. Even so, I keep going with the idea and it has turned out well, knowing the deep Slovenia and linking to the top of the park.

Already in the park, I continue walking trails, this time focusing on the lower part of the park (from the hotel down). These for me have in general more flow and less slope than those above, are more disfrutones.

Well, that route lasts for the mileage and the slope, and technique, for some of the black trails, so I qualify as difficult .. Going only for the blue and red would be moderate, assuming a good technical level. The final cumulative drop comes from 2300m +, the truth is that I had a great way to prepare the Euskobike last week and I saw myself well ... in fact, alone and without obligations, if I did not have to return to dinner at 7 to the hotel, just like I'm still around ...
