Itinerary description
a very different experience . its a must if you love riding in nature. just look at photos and you'll know what i mean. guides are as follows and remember no pain no gain ;)
1. if it was raining in the past week you should definitely park as close the mine road gate as possible cause the road from the Arshia restaurant is so muddy and sticky that you will exhaust even before getting to the lake .
2. NEVER E.V.E.R. go alone and without a good compass and a fully charged gps receiver device with this or similar "Hoz Soltan" lake tracks on it. YOU WILL get lost and DIE if you don't pay attention to this. the visibility is limited due to the humid and desert environment and also there will be no tracks that you can follow back cause you RIDING in a lake with 10 cm of depth and a diameter of 20+ kilometers.
3. you have to be back to your car before dusk of you will freeze to death or stuck in the swamps. so start your ride as early as possible and prepare for a 3 hr delay due to harsh environments.
4. have a lots of water and a good and strong rope (at least 20 meters) with you (at least 2 members of the group should have ropes. in case a member got stuck. you should know that the lake bed in the center is hard solid crystallized salt but there may some pars that isn't so be prepared. also have water resistant clothes and shoes or you will be soaking wet by the most extreme salty water you have ever tasted. also have spare tubes you don't wanna walk 20 KMs in a lake with a broken bike.
5. don't wander off track ... its dangerous.
6. NEVER go to the lake shore .. the only way in and out of the lake is by the mine road so don't even try getting in or out not using the mentioned road. we did and stuck in mud for 2 hrs and barely got out on time before sunset so don't try ... please
7. don't use an expensive bike .
8.the lake is extremely beautiful so bring a good camera with you ... its worth it
9. do this track ... you wont be disappointed .
