Itinerary description

This is a rough and difficult trail to follow at times, but it was on the map so I had to check it out. Make your way to the BEGIN waypoint - I recommend climbing the Cook and Green trail, or you could climb the gravel logging road, then climb the 4wd road to the Horse Camp trailhead. The PCT (Pacific Crest Trail) parallels the 4wd road to the north, no bikes allowed on the PCT but it looked like it would be fun on a bike. I went in December and there was three feet of snow when I dropped over onto the northerly exposed side, but was rolling again within a quarter mile. It looked like there hadn't been any maintenance done on this section in years, the grade is steep at times and the tread is mostly just a rut. Had to stop and search for it more than once on the upper half. The lower half was better, must be some use coming up to the camp from the lower trailhead. The GPS tracks on the lower section are a mess probably because I was going fast through the tall trees, but you get the general idea.
