Itinerary description
The trail is starting right from the village, next to the municipal building. it is fun to ride in the village but we are attentive and don't miss the turn, we made a wrong turn and get into someone's private property. uphills sometimes are getting very steep and technical but they are not too hard and not too long. in Total uphill to the lake is 5.5km and from the lake, there are 800m more uphill but the last ~100m is non-ridable if you are not Danny McKaskill with an e-bike ))
Lake itself is not fantastic not impressive but we had an amazing view because of the clouds, above the lake is a rocky mountain and it is really beautiful, but I recommend to rode there until half of July after that there will be all dry and not so beautiful as you can see in the pictures.
After that 800m you will start steep and downhill and traverse along the mountain, which is full of ups and downs but it's like in the jungle and there are many magnificent views to the Vayots Dzor province, don't miss them ))
when you pass the mountain traverse you'll start all the way down to Areni market through Aghavnadzor village. The downhill part is clearly visible I won't go into details. there are stones rocks and clear gravel sections look forward and enjoy the ride. on the last 3km, you will be able to see the amazing views of Gnishik Canyon.

Recommended for: intermediate and experienced mountain bikers. Pro riders will enjoy this ride also.
