Itinerary description
An alternative to simply riding the Central Otago Rail Trail which allows to complete a loop from and back to Middlemarch. It can be done in either sense of course: Middlemarch to Hyde via Hartfield road is 33 kms and via the Railtrail, 27 kms. Make sure you spot the crater on the eastern side of Hartfield Road.
