Itinerary description

Difficult all-mountain mtb tour, mostly single trail up and down.

Parking is at the wirt at Glashütte. You can have good meal before you go up. Not open every day of the week tho. Monday Tuesday closed.

After 820m on tarmac and past the first turn the single trail goes up at the right side. This beautiful single trail up continues for about 2,2km. You could continue on the single track, but the secound part is a bit muddier. Always be aware because sometimes you encounter hikers or bikers coming down. So if you continue on the fire road after the 2.2km to the right after, the next 2,5km is on a fire road and at about 5km there is a little entree up the right side into again beautiful single trail. This will lead you to the alm (meadow). The way to the top goes past the little farm (mitterhütte) up to the right. From here it is 150m hike a bike to close under the top. The last couple of meters a rideable again.

Take your time and enjoy the amazing view from the top. Hochalm 1427m.

On the way back you follow your way down along the same steep rocky rideable trail towards the alm. But this time you continue down towards the tree line. Carry your bike over the fence and continue down on the single trail. Pretty wet at first but will get gently better further down. There are some pretty difficult passages which require some knowledge of the situation. So if it´s your first descent, take it easy. At the bottom there is another fence to cross.

After that it´s along the road back to the parking for a nice drink at the wirt.

Enjoy the ride.
