Itinerary description
A great MTB round trip that can be shortened or extended depending on the time you have available.
Start and arrival at Ferma Albanik (arriving to a cold beer or a nice dinner).
The uphill is scenic but quite steep, and probably not a good idea shortly after some rainy days. A lot less steep but longer alternative for the climb is to continue along the 'main road' up the hill, so take the left road where my hand in the picture (way point no.2) points to the right. There is another MTB track on Wikiloc with that version of the uphill, also starting at Ferma Albanik.
Once you reach the 'main road' above, the views to Mt Tomorri and elsewhere more than compensate for the steep climb. The riding up here is easy and fun, passing very few villages, some of them abandoned.
The downhill then is just one of many alternatives. This one starts on a 'real' but pretty bad road, though easy to follow. Then, mainly for time reasons, we branched off to the right along the eroded slopes, down some very technical but rewarding trails including some short sections where we had to carry the bikes down steep and soft-sandy slopes.
Down in the valley, crossing the river and its tributaries many times (OK in late April after some days of rainfall), it's easy riding back to Ferma Albanik.
