Itinerary description
Path from Pesaro to Cattolica, with sea views, beaches and little local traditional towns.
Starting from Pesaro's bike system called Bicipolitana, you go up to the park beautifult Parco Naturale of Monte San Bartolo. Then the first stop is Fiorenzuola di Focara, where you might taste good piadina looking at the sea, and also have a jump down to the wonderful sandy beach. Afterwards, we move to Castello di Gradara for a visit to the old medieval downtown.
A few KMs of this trail are bike lanes along the roadway, quite well marked - indeed you will find a lot of bikers over there, and the mostly of the road are secondary ways. An helmet and an high visibility / reflective vest are suggested. For beginners, renting an eBike could make the trip a lot more enjoyable.
Facilities:
- you can head back with the train run by Trenitalia TPer, boarding your bike for a little extra fee in the ticket (~5€ overall)
- there are a lot of point of water during the trial
- in Pesaro, during the summer, you can rent bikes and eBikes. Look at the workshop near the south end of Viale Trieste
